Hello and welcome to fart.camera! This website serves as the home for Andrew’s blog for Strategic Presentation. If the domain name isn’t enough, below is an introduction to myself, my blog, and the vision behind this website.
Week 4: What is my name? – 2/23/2026
Hello, my name is Andrew. At the time of writing, I am a senior Cell Biology and Neuroscience major at Rutgers University. This blog was created for a class called Strategic Presentation, which is designed to allow students to explore and experiment with digital multimedia tools to develop skills in modern communication methods, including rudimentary web design. Truthfully, I have always been interested in creating websites. I am barely old enough to remember a version of the internet (circa 2010) that felt less corporate and more “human.” The playground murmurs about viral videos or flash games hosted on small websites made my introduction to using the internet feel like an adventure: exciting and mysterious. The consolidation of content via social media platforms has made certain sites a 1-stop-shop for anything a curious person could need. As more and more people wish to disconnect from social media, return to analog media, and minimize the dizzying distractions of a constantly connected life, learning the skills for personal expression within the digital language feels appropriate for a generation that grew up alongside the internet.
This is a picture right after my Eagle Scout Court of Review. I’m not trying to introduce any new images of myself on the internet 🙂
This is a tissue stain I had done recently in a lab under a microscope. This is from a swab of my cheek epithelial cells!
Made obvious by the hilarity in the choice of domain name, I am excited to continue this project as a fun reflection of myself and my experience. As this is my first blog post, I want to set some goals; 3 to be exact.
- Aestetically design a page that I am proud of
- Learn to use the WordPress creation tools (along with a little HTML) to create interesting features
- Build a deeper understanding of my personal creative process
There is something already comforting about having a corner of the internet all to myself. As my semester continues, I will be adding more pages with unique content entries. Click on the Page Navigator icon to see my post. Although it’s currently blank, the HTML Fun page will contain (hopefully) fun and interactive experiments. Stay posted!
